Monday, July 7 - Mike and Megin Stearns write the following from Puerto Rico: "We have now begun our busy season. Camp started on Sunday, June 29, and a work crew came on Monday, June 30. We are going to have three weeks of camp and five work crews this month, so please pray for us as July and August are going to be very busy for us!"
Monday, June 30 - The following was written by Sue Vinton about her mother, Marilyn Caraway. The Caraways arrived safely in Grand Rapids on Saturday and Marilyn has been admitted to Spectrum Butterworth Hospital.
"Here's the latest on my mom. On Sunday afternoon a neurologist came in to see her. He ordered an MRI and an EEG (electroencephalogram, I think it's called), which is a brain wave test. Anyway, he said he thinks there is more wrong with her brain than just the subarachnoid bleed that they diagnosed in Nairobi. The MRI will give him a picture of the brain tissue, which he thinks could have multiple contusions. The EEG will tell him if she is having brain seizures that we can't see. He thinks both of those things are a possibility. He was also encouraging, however, in that he expects that she will recover significantly with the right treatment.

We are asking for continued prayer, though. She still needs a correct diagnosis and treatment course and rehab. And she definitely needs God to work in her brain to heal her and restore her! God can give wisdom to the doctor and cause the medicines they give her to bring about a full recovery, so please pray to that end."
Friday, June 27 - Please pray again for Marilyn Caraway's trip home. They (Bob, Marilyn, and Cindy) have been guaranteed seats on tonight's flight, even though the plane is full. They are all very drained emotionally and physically after yesterday's events. They were already at the boarding gate waiting to get on the plane when someone came up and told them they...
