Kevin and Lisa Crouse
Challenging Australian youth with the key to life...Jesus Christ!
Kevin and Lisa Crouse met while attending Grace Bible College in 1985. While they were dating, they heard a challenge in one of the chapel times about the need for some people to go to Zaire as short-term missionaries. Kevin and Lisa both felt burdened by the needs in Zaire and committed to go and teach English in the National High School in the village of Kama.
Kevin and Lisa returned to Grace Bible College in August 1990 and Kevin resumed his studies for his Bachelor of Theology degree with an emphasis in Youth Ministry. Kevin graduated from Grace Bible College in May 1993, and they began pursuing their desire to be used in youth ministry overseas. They heard about the need for youth work in Australia and they began praying about that need!
Kevin, Lisa, and Jake arrived in Australia in September 1995 and Lucas joined them in May 1996. They have started a cafe (Acts 17) in the marketplace, which is a contact point for non-Christians to come to a cool, friendly place where they meet people who genuinely care about them. As they build relationships with the youth and young adults who frequent the cafe, they invite them along to Sacred Grounds (church) which meets at the same location (the cafe). Please pray for this ministry that God will use this casual, non-threatening atmosphere to reach the youth and young adults of Australia who would never darken the doorstep of a church!
