- Colton, Sierra, and Savannah - serve the Lord in Tanzania where they began working in the southwest Rukwa region in 1991 with an emphasis on evangelism and construction. They completed the building of Tanzania Grace Bible Institute in 1998. At that time the Lord began moving in their hearts to work in the unreached and isolated Rukwa Valley to the east. They then moved to the village of Kapenta after the acquisition of a plot and the completion of their home in November of 2001.
The new work they are involved in is diverse and seeks to impact people from the Rukwa Valley both physically and spiritually. They started and established a vo-tech school which both educates and equips young Tanzanians in the fields of carpentry and sewing. There is an intense English training program, fish pond, aquaculture work, two tree nurseries with an emphasis on introducing new varieties of trees that impact the Valley's farmers, water projects, weekly dental extraction clinics, and livestock improvement projects. They also established the only sunflower oil press in the Rukwa Valley. This press enables local farmers to produce their own cooking oil instead of importing it from abroad. All of the above-mentioned projects are to show the love of Christ to their Rukwa neighbors.
In terms of spiritual work, the Rabenolds have begun outreach work with Rukwa Valley women teaching marketable skills and Bible, evangelism in remote fishing villages by boat, and encouraging and overseeing church planting in many Rukwa villages.
The Rabenolds' work is grassroots work where seeds are being planted. They are confident that the Lord will use this initial work to bring forth a great future harvest.
