Missionary Conferences in the Northwest - Please pray for the churches in the Northwest as they conduct their annual missionary conferences September 23 - October 21. Pray especially for Titus and Kristy Lloyd, missionary candidates to Zambia, as they take part in several of the conferences.

Tanzania - Tanzania Grace Bible Institute's Pastoral College just started the first two-month women's module on September 11. These ladies are the wives of the pastoral students. Some of them probably do not want to go to school and there are those who can't read or write. Even though they face lots of difficulties, our church and missionary leaders know the importance of them attending school and doing well since pastoring a church is a family affair; the husbands cannot do it alone. Pray that this will be a good learning experience for these pastors' wives.

Praise from the Roths - Praise the Lord that Sally and Brianna Roth were able to travel to Pretoria, South Africa, in order to have Brianna's cochlear implant checked by an audiologist. The audiologist was able to make the necessary adjustments to improve Brianna's hearing capabilities.

Update from the Muthyalas in India - On August 25 there were two bomb blasts in the city of Hyderabad believed to be carried out by a Muslim terrorist group. One blast detonated in a public park and the other near an Indian fast food joint killing around 40 innocent people and injuring many more. The police commissioner has issued a notice to all religious organizations (including all churches) to make and take the necessary extra security measures and precautions. Please pray for safety and also for Subash and Sandra to be effective in carrying out the ministry showing the love of Christ and encouraging the believers in their ministries. One week after the bombings, they had open-air gospel meetings as an outreach for one of the village churches. The church has around 40 people. At the special services, 130-150 people attended the meetings, many of them Hindus. After the gospel was clearly presented, many responded to the call to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. Please pray for the continuing work of the Holy Spirit.

Congo Update from Fred and Karen Vinton - Because of a number of recent plane crashes in Congo, the government has forbidden the commercial planes to carry passengers. The local airlines need passengers to make their flights profitable, so all flights in their area have been stopped while the government and airlines work through this problem. They have urgently needed medicine and other supplies stuck in Bukavu waiting for the planes to start flying again. Please pray that a solution would be found to make the planes safer, and that they would begin flying again soon. Pray also that the 1,500 copies of Bill Vinton's book printed in Nairobi, Kenya, will be transported safely to Bukavu during the month of October.

Ministry Report from Uruguay - Praise the Lord for the growing ministries at the Grace Church in Montevideo, Uruguay. One of the recent events was what they call the "Good Samaritan Meal" in which 170 poor or homeless people were served food at the church. Two of the servers started attending the church after coming to the event last year. They both shared their testimonies. Ricki Anne praises the Lord for the wonderful reception by the church. Pray for Ricki Anne as she searches for housing.

Mission Trip to Nicaragua - PTL for the ten people from the Costa Rica Grace Church who had a wonderful missions trip to Nicaragua. They were able to work in a very poor grade school and high school putting up a wall, as well as sharing their lives and faith with many adults and children. Pray with us that this is the beginning of a vision to reach out and eventually begin a grace ministry in that country.

Orphan Care Ministry in Zambia - Tim and Debbe Meier praise the Lord that since the new school year has started they have been able to feed the students a meal every day. Pray for the four interns who are helping them this semester.

Updates from Puerto Rico - PTL that WCGB has received its new license from the FCC because of the installation of the new tower last year. PTL for the over 50 kids, teenagers and adults on the first day of Club ALAS (AWANA). Pray that the Lord will use these children to bring their parents to Himself.
