Earthquakes Rock Bukavu - On February 3 as people were going to church, a strong earthquake measuring over 6 on the Richter scale hit the city of Bukavu, Congo. During the following two weeks, many small earthquakes and tremors were felt. On the 14th at 4 AM, a quake measuring 5.4 awoke the people in Bukavu and surrounding areas. The number of deaths has not been confirmed but the latest number is 28. Even though our three main ministry/church buildings did not receive severe damage, there are many cracks in the walls which are still being evaluated. A number of homes of our pastors and church people need major repairs. Please pray for this situation. If you desire to help with the necessary repairs, your gift earmarked CONGO EARTHQUAKE will be immediately sent to Congo. Thanks.

Puerto Rico Update - John Cox reports they sent 13 youth to a retreat at camp last weekend. One believed on the Lord Jesus as Savior and five were helpers. Some of the younger ones came home and are now inviting their friends to join them at church. Please pray for John and those working with him. Their goal this year is to look for adults, and in order to facilitate this, they have changed the Sunday morning format.

Andy and Jeneane Hollier - Please pray for the Lord's guidance for Andy and his colleagues regarding the choice of evangelistic outreach activities in the Fox Valley Community Hall. PTL for the interest of a new woman attending the home meetings who is receptive to having the Holliers visit at her home.

Tanzania Pastoral College - Please pray for the students who began their 5th of 10 two-month modules. Last year's harvest was very poor and these are the months when people begin to run out of food. Pray that our students will be able to attend and their family's needs will be met. Pray also for our teachers as they train future leaders for the church in Tanzania.

Urgent Request from India - Subash Muthyala writes that they are in desperate need of a place for worship (church) and living (house) -- they need to move out of their current locations. So far the search has been ineffective. It has been very difficult and it is very expensive, and they are running out of time (by April). Please bring this request before the Lord.

Stearns in Puerto Rico - PTL that Mike and Megin Stearns arrived safely in Puerto Rico on February 9 to begin their one-year term working at the camp with Jon and Theresa Marshall.

Good News from Tanzania - Following up on the work of two short-termers (Stephanie Wright and Nicole Rumptz) at Mumba, they and the Caraways were involved in the distribution of 1,600 Gideon New Testaments in two primary schools and a high school. Along with the New Testament the students were given a salvation tract. Praise the Lord for the freedom in Tanzania to distribute the Word of God. Please pray for the students as they read God's Word and share it with their families.

Carl Moyer (Zambia) - Praise the Lord for bringing Carl Moyer back to the States in time for doctors to take care of a heart problem. He and Joanne are thankful to all who have prayed and are praying for them. Pray that the medication Carl is taking will be effective as they plan to return to Zambia the end of March, the Lord willing.

Costa Rica - The Befus and Clark families are praising the Lord for the great attendance in the ministries of the church and for 40 students who began the new school year at the Bible Institute.

Camp in Bolivia - Talo Vergara is very thankful for the great change they experienced at Bolivia Grace Youth Camp this year. They had an "awesome camp" that made a big impact on people’s lives. Pastors Gusty (Talo's brother) and Fernando (Shaggy) from Uruguay helped Talo with the messages and they had great small group discussions as well. They plan to work on organization details for next year but see positive change and answers from the youth, so they are quite enthusiastic about next year's camp program.

Reaching out in the Rukwa Valley - Ted Rabenold is rejoicing in the team of 13 men who will be working on an intensive outreach program. Each man will be leaving his village and going to a neighboring village and teaching a course called, "Firm Foundations." This course begins in Genesis 1:1 with a strong emphasis on God as the creator and sustainer who loves sinners. Most of the people in this area of Tanzania are animistic and have no idea of the God of the Bible. Their view of sin is "being caught in the act" of doing something wrong. Please pray that the people who are taught will come to realize their sinfulness before a holy God and find the remedy in the Lord Jesus Christ.
