Home Assignment - Fred and Karen Vinton and their children, Valerie and Matt, arrived in California on April 25 to begin a four-month home assignment where they will be visiting family, friends, and churches. Pray for Katie who remains at Rift Valley Academy in Kenya where she is completing her sophomore year in high school before joining her parents in the States. Pray also that the ministries in Kipaka will continue to flourish under the direction of the national leadership.

Seattle Work Team - PTL for the ministries accomplished by the six-man team from Seattle. They left for Africa on March 25 and returned on April 27. After their arrival in Zambia, they spent the first two weeks installing electricity at Zambia Grace Bible Institute, as well as working on the Grace Center building in downtown Kabwe. After Easter they drove to Malawi where they were involved in constructing a dining/conference room building at the Bible Training Center on Lake Malawi. We are grateful for teams like the one from Seattle who make great contributions to our overseas ministries.

Back at the Office - On April 9, Dr. Sam was cleared by his doctor to resume his normal activities. This made it possible for him to be involved in the Grace Gospel Fellowship licensing and ordination committee, the GGF Council meeting, the annual GGF Pastor's Conference, and the Grace Bible College board meeting. He has also resumed all his ministries at the GMI office. Thanks to all who prayed and expressed their concerns.

New MK - Jeremy and Andrea Clark welcomed the arrival of their third child, Lydia Joy, on March 30. Lydia joins sister, Berea, and brother, Jason. Please pray for Lydia and all our MKs. They are a tremendous blessing to their parents and on many occasions open up doors of witness for their parents.

Sandra Muthyala in Uruguay - Please pray for Sandra as she spends two months with her parents in Uruguay. Her mother is in a nursing home and is not well. Her father is in the process of moving. Pray that Sandra will not only be a great help to her parents but also a witness to the members of the family who do not know the Lord Jesus as Savior. Pray for Subash as he carries on the ministries in India. PTL that a young man who the Muthyalas have discipled for over eight years graduated this month from seminary with a master of divinity degree. Pray for Timothy as he works with the Muthyalas to expand the ministries in India.

Tanzania Bible Schools - Steve Sherman expresses his thanks to all who have given and are praying for the ministry of training leaders in our churches through the Module Bible Schools. The first two-year cycle was completed last year, and from those who completed the program, 27 men were chosen to enter the three-year Pastoral College at Mumba. Please pray for teachers and students as they study the Word of God and train to be servants of the Lord in our churches.

Megin Ten Hoeve to Zambia - For the past six weeks Megin Ten Hoeve has been working at the GMI office with Jim Molenkamp learning the GMI accounting program. On May 3, the Lord willing, she will be leaving for Zambia where she will spend one month working with our missionaries to set up an accounting system which will facilitate the financial reporting process from the field to the home office. Please pray for safety, good health, and a profitable ministry for Megin as she serves in Zambia.

MKs Graduate from College - Congratulations to Amber Befus (Grace Bible College) and Melissa Meier (Moody Bible Institute) as they graduate from college in May. Please pray for the Lord’s leading in their lives. Amber is engaged to Kaleb Kemper (a B.Th. student at Grace Bible College) and they plan to be married in December 2007.

New Book at the Printer - In March Bill Vinton (Congo) completed his new book on "Spiritual Transformation and its Effects on Ministry" and turned the final copy over to the printer in Kijabe, Kenya. Please pray for safe transportation by truck from Kenya to Congo and this book’s impact on our church leaders.
