Great Camps in Puerto Rico - PTL for three great weeks of camps this summer. There were 240 campers and 55 of them trusted the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior. There were no big accidents, no trips to the hospital, and no big discipline problems. God's presence was very evident. Jon Marshall expresses his appreciation for all who prayed throughout the summer. The counselors made it through three straight weeks and liked having it that way.

Update on Sally Roth - Please continue to pray for Sally Roth. Her surgery went well and now she is in some very intensive physical therapy. Pray for complete healing of her knee. Pray also for Jeff as he continues in his ministry with the students of Zambia Grace Bible Institute.

Bill and Nancy Rigg in Tanzania - We are grateful for the willingness of Bill and Nancy Rigg to go to Tanzania in September to minister in our churches as well as lead a five-day retreat for our missionaries at a retreat center on Lake Malawi. Our missionaries from Congo and Zambia will be joining the Tanzanian missionaries at this special time with the Riggs. Please pray for safety in travel. Pray that the Lord will use Bill and Nancy to minister in a special way to our missionaries.

Holliers in the States - Andy and Jeneane Hollier arrived in the States on August 29 to begin an eight-month home assignment when they will be taking part in mission conferences across the country. Please pray that they will enjoy good health and that their time in the States will be effective and Christ honoring.

Update from the Meiers - Tim and Debbe Meier had a busy summer in their ministries in Zambia. PTL for a team of 12 from the States who were involved in Vacation Bible School; feeding orphans; youth programs; painting and decorating the orphan school classrooms; door-to-door evangelism; and many other ministries. PTL their vehicle ordered from Japan arrived on August 15. Tim asks for special prayer that he and Debbe will be an encouragement to the ministry team and church in Mufulira.

Ricki Anne Zanella in School - Please pray for Ricki Anne who started studying for her master's degree in women's ministries at Multnomah Biblical Seminary the end of August. After her first year of studies she will be going to Uruguay to begin working with the women and youth in the grace church in Montevideo. PTL for the salvation of a Mexican couple Ricki Anne shared the Gospel with in Altoona, PA in June. They called her on August 12 with the exciting news that they had trusted the Lord Jesus as Savior!

Pastor Rachoy to Tanzania - Please pray for Dave Rachoy, pastor of Mountain View Bible Church in Post Falls, ID, who will be spending three weeks in September visiting our missionaries in Tanzania, conducting seminars for pastors, and speaking at the annual conference of the Tanzania Grace Church.

Pray for the Hodgsons - Cory and Kim Hodgson (Tanzania) ask for prayer as they begin ministering in Mbeya. Pray that they will establish good relationships with the local church pastors.

Pray for our MKs - Pray for our missionary children. There are those who are home schooled; others are attending public, private, or MK schools while living at home; and others attend boarding school. Pray for the following MKs who are in the States attending college: Amber and Terrah Befus, Casey Caraway, Jaymin Cox, Melissa and Elizabeth Meier, and Rachel Vinton.

Reaching the Fishing Villages - PTL for Ted Rabenold's vision of reaching fishermen villages on the shore of Lake Rukwa. He and Mike Benton and Tanzanian pastors have made a number of trips on a special boat that Ted was given while in the States. In the latest trip the team found a village of 300 people. The village looked like a refugee camp with small grass enclosures covered by tarps of various colors.

After singing several songs, the Gospel was preached in the "open air" at the center of the village. Ted writes that he "really felt the presence of the Holy Spirit moving during the service." When the invitation was made, a man came forward and as he did, he started shaking and fell on his knees. There were about 70 people present and all were watching him. The man (his name is John) began making noise and was thrashing wildly when he said with a loud voice, "Leave us alone, we are going." Right afterwards John calmed down and Ted and a colleague led him in prayer, and he trusted the Lord Jesus as his Savior.

Ted stated that he had never seen anything like this so clearly before but Isaiah 45:22-23 came to mind, and he is rejoicing in God's power. Please pray for Ted and his colleagues as they continue to enter these unreached villages with the Gospel.
