In Malawi, about 45 women will be graduating from the Cooking, Home Economics, and Entrepreneurship Training in November 2019. Some of them already have businesses that are running but many are not doing well because their capital is limited. Others would like to begin businesses but have no way of putting capital together. Several of these women are members of the Grace Churches in Malawi. Some are actually wives of Grace Church Pastors. Others are from the community. After graduation in November, the plan is to select 20 women who took the training seriously and support them with a small loan/grant, either to boost an existing business or to start a new business from scratch. Part of the sum given will be a grant while they will be required to repay the second part of it without interest, within a maximum period of one year. When the loans are repaid, the cycle will continue with other graduates from the training who need assistance.
$114/person for 20 women = TOTAL $2,280.
