Training Women in MalawiAll
This project is aimed at training women in three main areas: (1) how to start and lead a Bible study group; (2) how to grow their personal skills, and (3) how to identify challenges that affect their communities and find solutions to these common problems. These training opportunities have proven effective in most of the rural and marginalized areas of Malawi. Through these classes, women find the worth of being part of the community and feel confident in what they have to contribute to its affairs. Above all, women discover their value and worth in the Lord through Discovery Bible Study Methods. These simple methods help women conduct simple Bible study lessons in small groups. They also work well for both those who can and those who cannot read as it uses PLAS methods (Participator Learning Activities).
Our goal is to see women in the church and the community transformed spiritually, economically, and socially. These classes will be conducted every quarter in a year beginning with a training of 16 facilitators and then multiplying these groups with each facilitator forming and training her own groups.
